Welcome to Cardata!

Configuring your settings is the fourth step you'll need to complete as part of your onboarding. Click here for a complete onboarding checklist!

Getting started with iOS

After creating a password, you’ll be redirected to a ‘Set up your device’ screen. From here, you’ll set up your settings configurations.

Start by tapping the Start button.

Note: Each setting listed will need to be individually configured.

Turn location always ON

By enabling Location Always, Cardata will be able to track your trips whenever you drive during your scheduled tracking periods.

  1. The first screen you’ll encounter is the ‘Enable location always’ screen. Tap Enable.

  2.  Follow the instructions on the screen, ensuring that the following items are set enabled:
    • Allow while using the app
    • Always allow
    • Precise location on

Turn motion capture ON

Allowing Cardata to monitor motion helps the app detect vehicle motion.

  1. On the ‘Enable motion tracking screen,’ tap Enable.
  2. A pop-up will appear. Tap the Allow button. This will redirect you to a Cardata settings screen.

  3. Tap the gray toggle to the right of 'Motion & Fitness.' Once on, the toggle will turn green.

Allow push notifications (optional)

Cardata will occasionally send you important updates and reminders.

  1. On the ‘Enable push notifications’ screen, tap Enable.
  2. A pop-up will appear. Tap the Allow button.

Turn background refresh ON

Background refresh lets the app continue updating and gathering information even when closed.

  1. On the ‘Enable background refresh’ screen, tap Enable.
  2. A  pop-up will appear. Tap Open System Settings.

  3. Tap the gray toggle to the right of “Background App Refresh.” Once on, the toggle will turn green.

Disable power save mode*

With power save mode enabled, your device may automatically stop Cardata to preserve battery life.

*This step is only necessary if you have low power mode turned on on your device.

  1. Navigate to your device's Settings screen.
  2. Tap Battery.
  3. Tap the green toggle to the right of Low Power mode. When off, the toggle will be gray.

Your configurations should now be set!
