Understanding your company's commute policy

Your commutes to and from work are considered personal trips, and should not be claimed as business miles. 

To help ensure that commutes are not claimed as business trips, companies can choose to implement a commute policy. When commute policies are in effect, mileage is automatically deducted from your total daily mileage in order to account for the miles in a typical commute

Commute policies are highly company specific. You can find more information on your specific commute policy by logging in to Cardata Cloud and clicking the Driver tab on the left side of the Cardata Cloud homepage.
