How to change your 2FA phone number
Some companies require drivers to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) during onboarding. This straightforward process helps protect you and your company from potential fraud.
If you get a new cellphone number, you will need to add it to your Cardata Mobile account. This way, future verification codes will get sent to the right phone.
Follow these steps to change your phone number:
- Open Cardata Mobile.
Open the side menu by tapping the three-line menu icon at the top left corner of your Driver Dashboard.
From your profile, tap the Edit profile button.
Your phone number should be displayed on the Edit Profile screen. Tap the Edit button beneath your phone number.
Enter your new number and press Submit.
- After pressing Submit, two things will happen:
- You’ll be directed to a ‘Verify it's you’ screen.
- Your new number will receive a text containing a 6-digit verification code.
Enter your verification code on the ‘Verify your phone number’ screen. Then, hit the Verify button.
If you did not receive a code, tap Resend it, or Back to re-enter your phone number.
- Nice! You should now have a new phone number on your Cardata account.
