How to add a new vehicle (FAVR)
If you recently purchased a new car (congrats!), you’ll need to update your vehicle information on Cardata Mobile as soon as possible. These instructions are for drivers who are on the FAVR program. If you’re on the 463 program, click here. Follow these steps to add a new car to Cardata Mobile:
- Open Cardata Mobile.
Open the side menu by tapping the three-line menu icon at the top left corner of your Driver Dashboard.
Tap Profile.
From your profile, tap the My Car tab.
Tap the purple Update Car button. This will redirect you to the My Car screen. From here, you can enter your new vehicle’s information.
Start by adding the year. Tap the empty text box under ‘Year.’ Tap the year your vehicle was built. If you tapped the wrong year, tap the text box under ‘Year’ to return to the year selection screen. The year you selected will appear as two rows. Tap the top row. Tap the backspace button on your device keyboard to delete the year. Then. reselect the correct year.
To add the make, tap the text box under ‘Make.’ In the search bar, enter your vehicle’s make. As you type, the make should appear in the search results. Once it appears, tap it.
To add the model, tap the text box under ‘Model.’ In the search bar, enter your vehicle’s model. As you type, the model should appear in the search results. Once it appears, tap it.
- Enter your current odometer reading.
- Enter the MSRP of your vehicle when new.
- Confirm whether you’ve deducted depreciation on your new vehicle. If you select yes, a short form will appear on the screen. Fill it out before proceeding.
- Press Save.
- Once the vehicle has been added, scan and upload a copy of your vehicle documents at https://cardata.files.com/u/insurance.
Your new vehicle should now be saved on your Cardata Mobile profile. Enjoy that new car smell while it lasts!
