Custom Alerts
Track exactly what matters, right when it changes.
With Cardata Intelligence, you can set up custom alerts that notify you instantly when specific conditions are met within your data. Whether you’re monitoring performance thresholds, tracking operational milestones, or prompting timely follow-ups, these alerts keep your team proactive, without the need to constantly check dashboards.
Alerts are configured on KPI visualizations that report on numerical values (e.g., spend, mileage, number of drivers). At this time, alerts are only available for metrics with quantifiable, number-based data.
There are two types of custom alerts you can create, depending on what you want to monitor:
KPI CROSSES A SET LIMIT
Use this alert to track when a key metric exceeds or falls below a value you define.
Example:
"Send me an alert when the number of new drivers is greater than 10."
How to set it up:
- Navigate to the chart that tracks the KPI you care about.
- Click the bell icon in the top-right corner of the chart.
- Select “KPI crosses a set limit.”
- Set the condition, such as "greater than 10"
- Add any subscribers who should receive the alert.
- Click Create Alert.
This type of alert is helpful for:
- Monitoring onboarding volume
- Flagging unexpected spikes or drops
- Staying ahead of important changes without logging in
Values of an Attribute Crosses a Set Limit
Use this alert to track how many records match a filtered attribute, and get notified when that number changes.
Example:
"Alert me when the monthly reimbursement average fluctuates by 15%."
How to set it up:
- Open the chart that includes the attribute you want to monitor.
- Click the bell icon to open the alert options.
- Select “Attribute value crosses a set limit.”
- Apply your attribute
- Set the threshold (like 25 or fewer records)
- Add your subscribers, then click Create Alert.
This alert is great for:
- Tracking registration or onboarding progress
- Knowing when to follow up with a team
- Triggering internal next steps as status changes
WHY USE CUSTOM ALERTS?
- Get notified as soon as thresholds are met
- Monitor operational trends without manual checks
- Share alerts with key stakeholders
- Stay proactive instead of reactive
Custom alerts let you focus on what matters and act quickly when the data changes.
