How to Pin a Graph

  1. Open your Cardata Intelligence dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the visualization you want to pin.
  3. Click the 3 dots on the top right.
  4. Click the Pin icon.

  1. Select the Dashboard you would like to pin the visualization to.

  1. Scroll to your dashboard to confirm the chart is now pinned.

💡 Tip:

  • When you pin a visualization, any filters or date ranges you applied will automatically carry over. For example, if you filter for the last 4 months, the pinned graph will update dynamically over time, always showing the most recent 4-month window without you needing to adjust it manually.

How to Edit a Pinned Graph

  1. Scroll to your dashboard and locate the pinned visualization.
  2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the visualization.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Update any of the following:

            a. Title and Description for easier identification.

            b. Data properties, such as filters, driver groups, locations, or any other parameters that define what’s displayed.

           c. Date range to view a specific period of interest.

  1. Save changes to apply updates instantly.

How to Delete a Pinned Graph

  1. Scroll to the top main bar of the dashboard.
  2. Click the three dots and select Edit.

  1. Scroll to the pinned visualization you want to remove.
  2. Click the three dots on that visualization.
  3. Select Delete.

How to Rearrange and Resize Visualizations

While in Edit mode:

  1. Rearrange: Click and drag a chart to move it to a new position on your dashboard.

  1. Resize: Drag the edges of a visualization to make it larger or smaller.

  1. Optimize Layout: Group related visuals together or position your most important charts at the top for easy access.

How to Add a New Tab

  1. Navigate to the visualization you want to add.
  2. Click the three dots in the top right corner of that visualization.
  3. Select Pin.

📹 Watch this short video for a step-by-step demo of how to create a custom tab and pin visualizations directly into it. This walkthrough shows exactly where to click and what to expect, so you can follow along in real time.

💡 TIPS:

  • You can pin multiple visualizations into the same custom tab -- this is a great way to group related charts together.
  • Tabs can be rearranged later in the dashboard view to match your preferred workflow.
  • Keep tab names short and descriptive for easier navigation (e.g., “Compliance KPIs” instead of “Tab 3”).
  • If you no longer need a tab, you can remove it by editing your dashboard settings.

Why Use Pinning & Editing?

  • Keep a constant view of high-priority metrics (e.g., high-mileage drivers, seasonal spikes).
  • Adjust what data you see without recreating visualizations from scratch.
  • Organize your dashboard to match your workflow.
  • Quickly remove outdated or irrelevant charts.
  • Adapt visuals on the fly for presentations, reviews, or audits.

Pinning, editing, and deleting gives you full control over your dashboard, so the most relevant data is always right where you need it.
